WhatsApp Agent

Send a WhatsApp message to your LetsPost number and our AI agent creates, schedules, and publishes posts on your behalf — no app, no browser, no code required.

How it works

The WhatsApp Agent is powered by a conversational AI that understands natural language instructions about social media. When you send a message, the agent:

  1. Parses your intent. It identifies whether you want to create a post, schedule something, check analytics, or manage your profile.
  2. Asks for missing details. If you said "post this video" but didn't specify a platform or time, the agent will ask — one question at a time, never a long form.
  3. Confirms before acting. Before creating or publishing anything, the agent sends a summary of what it is about to do and waits for your "Yes" or "No".
  4. Executes and reports back. On confirmation, the agent calls the LetsPost API, creates the post, and replies with a confirmation that includes the post ID and the scheduled time.

The agent remembers your active profile for the duration of the session, so you don't have to specify it on every message. You can switch profiles by saying "Switch to my [name] profile."

More things you can say

  • "Post to all my platforms: [caption]" the agent creates a fanout post across every connected account in your active profile.
  • "What are my upcoming posts?" returns your next 5 scheduled posts with platform and time.
  • "What's my top post this month?" the agent queries your analytics and returns the highest-performing post by views.
  • "Cancel my next post" the agent confirms which post it is about to cancel before deleting it.
  • "How many followers do I have?" returns the current follower count for each connected account.

See the full Commands cheatsheet for every supported phrase.

Prerequisites

  • A WhatsApp number (personal or business) — this is the number you will send messages from. No special WhatsApp account type is required.
  • A LetsPost account with at least one profile and one connected social account. If you have not done this yet, follow the Dashboard guide.
  • Your WhatsApp number must be added to your LetsPost profile in Settings → WhatsApp. This links your WhatsApp identity to your LetsPost account so the agent knows who is messaging it.
